SR 28 & CR 800 W Roundabout

Summary:

The SR 28 and 800W Roundabout transformed a high-risk intersection near I-65 into a safer, smoother, and more efficient corridor. By moving the intersection east, the project created safer spacing from the I-65 ramps and improved traffic flow. New 800W alignments and close coordination with nearby developments minimized disruption, while revising the limited-access right-of-way reduced private drive connections. Built under a phased plan to keep traffic moving and funded through a creative INDOT–Clinton County partnership, the project not only enhances safety and mobility but also serves as a welcoming gateway, supporting future growth, community connectivity, and economic development.
