We’re honored to share that the Indianapolis Nickel Plate Trail has been named the 2026 Outstanding Trail Project by the Greenways Foundation! This Indianapolis Department of Public Works project creates new connections for residents and visitors alike – turning the former rail corridor into a vibrant community asset!

We also want to recognize State Representative Carey Hamilton, a dedicated advocate for trails, along with Indianapolis City County Councilor Dan Boots, for their ongoing support of trail initiatives and active transportation in the community.

We’re proud to have contributed to a project that expands connectivity and provides new opportunities for safe alternative transportation and recreation for all!
