Summary:
The Purple Line marks a bold step forward for central Indiana’s transit network – part of the nation’s first all-electric BRT system and the second line in IndyGo’s expanding network. Stretching 15.2 miles from downtown Indianapolis to the City of Lawrence, the corridor connects residents to jobs, education, and services through 31 modern stations, 13 of which are shared with the Red Line.
As Construction Manager, BF&S led daily oversight to keep this $115 million project on schedule and under budget, ensuring seamless coordination among contractors, utilities, and public stakeholders. The Purple Line represents a model for sustainable infrastructure, combining innovative transit design with reliable project delivery. The result is a cleaner, more connected future for Indianapolis and a testament to what collaboration and strong construction management can achieve.
